The Mekong Bobtail they are genetically derived from the Siamese. Their race has developed mainly in Russia with cats brought there from various countries in Southeast Asia (Burma, Viet Nam and Thailand).

Mekong Bobtail to them can be considered short of Siamese cats tail version. They are very athletic and medium-sized cats, with a funny tail as Pom or brush. The head is slightly flat and smooth rounded contours, the Chin and jaw are strong and its fine snout, oval. The ears are large, broad at the base, with slightly rounded tips and high intersection. The eyes are large and oval, bright blue. The body is rectangular in shape, thin and elegant. The legs are thin and medium length, their feet are oval shaped. The tail is composed of curves or sprains or any combination thereof on the basis. You must have at least three vertebrae and its length must not exceed one quarter of the body.

The fur is short, shiny and silky texture. They have the same pattern as the Siamese (color point); the coloration is darker at the points where the temperature is lower (limb, tail, head and ears), the rest of the body is beige in color.

Mekong Bobtail is a silent cat, very nice with a balanced character. Cats can come and go very well. He is very affectionate with the owner and loves to play.
