Character and skills

The Beauceron is known in France as a guard dog, a farm helper.

This athletic breed, healthy and long life has been “raised to be smart, quiet, soft, and brave". Usually, adults are wary of strangers and make excellent natural watchdogs.

It is not a breed for everyone since you need to release your energy both physically and psychologically, as well as space and plenty of exercise. Excellent guard dog, very intelligent, friendly and patient with children. You need an active owner, coherent, serious but patient and caring that can rely on, and who knows how to impose limits. Education can become a wonderful protective dog that can perform any task, both dog, as guard, guide the company.

They are very intelligent, However, their physical and mental development is slower than in other similar breeds (for example, German shepherds and others…), they are not mentally mature, even if they physically appear so... Only at three years of age do they usually reach maturity, It is therefore recommended that education will be gradual and persistent. These may include, five periods of game, training, ten minutes a day in the early years will give us amazing results. It is better that, long rigorous training sessions.
